New BoA fee will help smaller banks. Bank of America is implementing their $5 fee on debit card holders soon. This is likely to help small banks according to Richard Durbin. Check out the whole story here: BoA fee will bring more business to small banks (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/durbin-says-b-of-a-fee-to-help-small-banks-2011-10-04?siteid=rss&rss=1). What do you think of this story?

Definitely. You will see more and more accounts switch over to smaller banks even though it is only $5 a month. Smaller banks tend to have good benefits such as high interest gains on savings accounts and lesser overdraft fees. They might even be more willing to lend. If you are with one of the bigger banks right now, definitely think about transfering over.
